VISION
I want the world’s vision of my art to be a rewarding one. I live and breathe graphics and there is nothing like the feeling you get when your client is so excited about the way the product came out. The end product makes all the long hours worth it. I take my job seriously and passionately; I live for the challenge, I will rise above it, and produce something never seen before. I am a Graphic Designer. I am Janelle Wong.
Playing intercollegiate athletics has influenced my design in many ways including how to work with all types of people, my work ethic, determination, time-management, experience and how to work within the parameters of set guidelines. My experiences, education, and passion for design are what shape my graphics vision!

Born in Santa Barbara, California, I was first introduced to Graphic Design while I was taking duel enrollment classes at Dos Pueblos High School in accordance with Santa Barbara City College (SBCC). I then went on to graduate from SBCC with an AA in both Liberal Studies (2010) and Graphic Design (2011) with honors and was on the president's honor roll. While enrolled at SBCC some of my work was featured in the SBCC School of Media Arts Showcase. While at SBCC I also competed in Intercollegiate Women's Basketball for two years and Women's Softball. Upon graduating I received the Louis Lowry Davis Inspirational Leadership Scholarship Award for athletics and made the all-conference teams as well as being a scholar-athlete for basketball and softball. While attending school and competing in athletics, I was able to be a Graphic Design intern for Stratus Media Group where I was later hired on making VIP passes, tickets, programs, posters, and advertisements for various types of print as well as for web.
I then went on to Minot State University in Minot, ND where I received a Basketball scholarship. I graduated in May 2013 earning my B.A. in Art/Graphic Design, Marketing Minor, and a Business Concentration, Cum Laude. While playing NCAA II basketball and taking 20 units I also worked freelance for SBCC's Athletic Department as a graphic designer creating programs, brochures, save the dates, awards and posters.
Upon graduating I returned to Santa Barbara, CA where I currently work as a full-time Graphic Designer/iOS Builder for eMarketing360. In addition, I am also a full time Vascular RN. I continue to do freelance projects on the side and push my comfort zone on a daily basis by being inspired by others and experimenting with different techniques while also keeping up to date on all the most up to date programs.
